Celebrate Art created ‘en plein air’ at the Winters Paint Out 2025 

Winters, CA – May 1-3, 2025 – The charming town of Winters invites artists to the Winters Paint Out 2025, a three-day painting experience that culminates in a public showcase at the Winters Art & Wine Festival on May 3, 2025, from 11 AM to 4 PM. 

Hosted by 1st Street Studio Art Gallery & Winters Collective, this annual event welcomes artists to capture the beauty of Winters and its surrounding landscapes within a 20-mile radius. Painters of all levels are encouraged to participate in this immersive artistic experience. 

Artist Participation & Rules 

• Entry Fee: $25 per artist 

• Artwork Requirements: 

• All paintings must be created “en plein air” during the event. 

• Artists can submit one to two framed paintings (no larger than 16”x20” unframed) for the final show at the Art & Wine Festival. 

• Canvases must be stamped at check-in. 

• All paintings must be wired and ready to hang for display and sale at the Winters Art & Wine Festival. 

• Artists set their own prices and receive 60% commission on sales. 

Awards & Recognition 

Participants have the chance to win cash prizes and ribbons: 

• People’s Choice 1st Place – $200 

• Artists Choice 1st Place – $200 

• Ribbons for 2nd and 3rd places in both categories 

Event Schedule 

Thursday, May 1, 2025 

• 9 AM - 5 PM – Artist check-in and ‘canvas’ stamping at Park Winters. 

• All Day – Artists may paint at Park Winters. 

• 5 PM - 6:30 PM – Informal artist gathering at Berryessa Brewing Co. 

Friday, May 2, 2025 

• 9 AM - 6 PM – Artists paint anywhere within a 20-mile radius of Winters. 

Saturday, May 3, 2025 

• 10 AM – Artists bring their framed paintings to the Winters Art & Wine Festival for display. 

• 2 PM - 3 PM – Award Ceremony for People’s Choice and Artists Choice winners. 

• 4 PM – Artists take their paintings home.
